Ljubljana process II – rehabilitation of our common heritage

Europa Nostra Serbia is a part of the consortium engaged in the development of 7 management plans for selected heritage sites in the region of Southeast Europe, within the framework of the program Ljubljana process II – rehabilitation of the common heritage. The project aims to foster long term and systematic development of selected heritage sites and use of their economic and social potentials. Consortium, in addition to ENS, is consisting of Cultural Heritage Without Borders from Sweden with office representatives in Sarajevo and Tirana, Expeditio from Kotor and Co-Plan from Tirana. The project is funded by Regional Cooperation Council Task Force on Culture and Society, through the European Union and the Council of Europe.

The project started off in July and it will end in October 2014. During this period, management plans will be distributed to one monument per participating country in the Ljubljana process:

• Caričin grad (Iustiniana Prima), archaeological site, Lebane , Serbia
• Siscia archaeological site, Sisak, Croatia
• City Hall, Sarajevo, B&H
• Besac fortress, Skadar, Montenegro
• Hamam, Prizren, Kosovo
• Apolonia, archaeological site, Albania
• Heraklea, archaeological site, Macedonia

The team of ENS is in charge for creating the management plans for Caričin grad and Siscia, while it professionally supports realization of 5 other plans. Experts of ENS, Katarina Zivanovic and Visnja Kisic created the Manual for heritage sites management plans development. During the plans creation process, 3 training-workshops were held for each of the 7 sites, with the goal of increasing interest in future plans realization and the usage of the heritage sites.
